A Mind More Kind

Kindness can be described in many ways. For me, it’s about treating everyone – animals, nature, the planet and ourselves – in a way I would like to be treated in return. It’s about caring and taking good-hearted action that can make a significant impact.

In our current stress filled world of virus driven shutdowns and lifestyle changes we can easily forget that practising kindness provides a comforting feeling and sparks a warm glow. It boosts your mood and enables you and those around you to live a more meaningful and happy life.

Nick Haines is an author, international speaker and Energetics Teacher. Nick says: “I don’t think I’ve ever met anyone who’s too kind. I’ve met people who have been described as being ‘too kind’ but when you drill down into it, they’re actually not being kind enough. Or more accurately, their kindness is out of balance. Developing a healthy kindset is like developing a healthy mindset, except that it’s all about kindness! A healthy kindset is one that’s equally kind to yourself, others and the planet, ideally at the same time, and it’s one of the hardest states to achieve.”

So, instead of listening to your inner voice saying you’ve made mistakes and you’re not good enough, choose to accept that there are no wrong turns, only valuable lessons learned.

When you have kindness for yourself, it’s much more likely you’ll have enough to give to others and the world around you!
