Activities Transport and Maintenance Officer

Westmont Aged Care is seeking a dynamic Activities Transport & Maintenance Officer to drive our valued residents on various outings. The suitable applicant will also be required to assist in our Maintenance Department and carry out maintenance requests as required.

• Operate assigned vehicle/s in a safe and courteous manner.
• Provide communication link between residents and staff.
• Assist residents, including frail aged and disabled residents, in and out of the vehicle; operate ramps, lifts and safety devices as needed.
• Choose destinations of interest to visit with residents.
• Keep the assigned vehicle/s clean inside and outside.
• Maintain records that are accurate and up to date for eg, regular bus safety maintenance checks, vehicle log, activities outing forms, residents’ sign-in/out sheets, incident reports,
  accident reports, and other records that are requested by management.
• Ensure First Aid kit, mobile phone/s and food and drink supplies are packed and brought along.
• Fuel the assigned vehicles/s.
• Carry out regular vehicle inspections.

• A minimum LR (Light Rigid) or MR (Medium Rigid) drivers licence
• Experience in Residential Aged Care (desirable)
• First Aid Certificate
• General Maintenance Skills
