Building and Facilities Manager

Qualifications & experience

• Experience in management of building and maintenance staff.
• General asset, maintenance or building experience or skills.
• Knowledge in, or experience in, asset management, preventative maintenance, scheduled maintenance programs and audits.
• Trade background desirable, but not essential.

• Managing Building and Facilities section and staff.
• Managing the repair, equipment replacement, maintaining and upgrading buildings, vehicles, and resources.
• Identifying preventative maintenance requirements.
• Ensuring all preventative maintenance is taken in accordance with legal and safety requirements.
• Ensures oversight of external contractors – including supervision, communication, follow up on non-conformances and evaluation of service providers.
• Maintains records of the maintenance program as per current aged care standards and requirements.
• Ensures adequate stock items for regular corrective maintenance jobs.
• Creates relevant improvement forms related to maintenance services.
• Oversight of the maintenance of an up-to-date asset register, including strong understanding and use of Manad or other compliance systems.
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to comprehend personal centered care and assist in providing a holistic environment with emotional wellbeing of residents being forefront.
