Vacancy – Chef

Westmont, Baranduda

We have an exciting position for a full-time qualified chef to work at our facility. Roster is Monday to Thursday, no nights and no weekends. The ideal candidate must have strong knowledge of bulk cooking to cater for 700 meals per day. This is an Aged Care facility with a large-scale function centre. You must respect working in a holistic environment that is both fast paced and consumer driven.

Substantial salary packaging available and a teamwork approach to all tasks is essential. The production kitchen is a small but dedicated team that work all areas of food preparation, cleaning, dishes and stock control. We are looking for an immediate start.

Demonstrated Abilities:

  • Qualified cook or chef with a minimum 5 years’ experience
  • Passion for making quality, nutritious food
  • Menu planning and design
  • Strong comprehension of food safety and hygiene practice
  • Bulk cooking experience highly advantageous

  • Possess strong understanding of working in a holistic environment
  • Display empathy and maturity to deal with a diverse client base
  • Be calm and respectful to residents and coworkers at all times
  • A smile, friendly disposition and teamwork approach
