July at Westmont is Italy month and Mirella, one of our Homestead residents, helped everyone celebrate in true Italian form.
Mirella told us the story of how she emigrated to Australia. Residents enjoyed her homemade gnocchi and fresh food. The Activities staff, under Mirella’s watchful eye, made bruschetta and had a lovely afternoon of eating and storytelling.
Mirella and residents helped pick fresh herbs from the chef’s garden to make the lovely bruschetta! Everyone commented on how tasty and fresh the food was and they enjoyed Mirella’s life story.
