Other options to access services
Westmont can provide services for those not eligible for Home Care Packages or Commonwealth Home Support Program.
For residents living in Wodonga and who are under 65, you can self-refer for the Home and Community Care Program for Younger People (HACC-PYP). We also assist those eligible for Veterans’ Home Care Services (coordinated by Department of Veteran Affairs) and can provide Community Nursing to Veterans and for other programs with a hospital referral.
We can also help if you require services by brokerage or privately, if not eligible for government funded programs.

Home and Community Care Program for younger people (HACC-PYP )
The Home and Community Care Program for Younger People (HACC-PYP) supports people 65 years and under, and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people 50 years and under, if their capacity for independent living is at risk.
This may be due to chronic illness, mental health issues, disability or other conditions where they need one-off, intermittent or ongoing support to undertake the activities of daily living.
The aim of HACC-PYP is to optimise people's health and wellbeing, and enable them to live safely, independently and maintain social and community connections.
You may be eligible for this funding if you have a disability, injury or chronic health issue, and are:
- Under 65 years old
- Under 50 years old if you are Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander
- And do not have NDIS (National Disability Insurance Scheme) funding
Westmont provides a range of services to people who are eligible for the HACC-PYP program including personal care, domestic assistance, help with transport to appointments and shopping, assistance with meal preparation and flexible community based on in home respite. You can complete the HACC referral form below or contact our office and speak to the HACC Coordinator.
Veterans' Home Care (VHC) Program
Department of Veterans' Affairs (DVA) is responsible for administration of the VHC Program. If you are already a DVA client or meet the criteria as outlined by the DVA you may be eligible for home care services.
Under VHC Program, services we offer are cleaning, home and garden maintenance (including lawn mowing, respite, personal care and nursing. Services not funded by DVA can be accessed through Commonwealth Home Support Program for those over 65 or under other Government funded services.

If you are an external organisation looking for a provider to assist those living in Albury/Wodonga, please contact us to discuss your requirements, as we are only too happy to see how we can help. Privately funded services
We understand that sometimes you still need assistance to stay at home but you may not be eligible for government funded services.
We have the capacity to assist those who are looking for help at home and look forward to the opportunity to discuss your requirements further, and work out a plan that suits you within your budget.
